Take
a TGV from one of these 3 stations:
Montparnasse (Paris), Roissy Charles
de Gaulle (Paris), and Bordeaux Saint-Jean.
to Niort station: 50 km from Vix

car:

from Paris (A10 from the north)
Leave the A10 at Crèche, taking the A83 towards Nantes. After
45 km on the A83, take exit n°8 "Fontenay le Comte/Marans".
Drive along the D938ter towards Marans for 10 km. At the crossroads
in Vix (by the large silo, Vix is on your left), turn right towards
"Le Gué de Velluire". Then follow signs to Mercier.

Leave the A10 after Saintes, taking the A837 towards La Rochelle.
From La Rochelle, follow signs for Nantes to the N11 (also labeled
E60). Drive along the N11 for 8.5 km, then take the "Nantes,
Marans" exit. Take the N137 (also labeled E3) to Marans. As
you leave Marans, turn off the 137, taking the D938ter for 8.5 km
to the corssroads in Vix (you will see a large silo on your right).
Turn left towards "Le Gué de Velluire". Then follow
signs to Mercier.
> from Nantes (A83 from the north)
Take the A83 towards Niort-Bordeaux for about one hundred kilometers.
Take exit n°8 "Fontenay le Comte/Marans". Drive along
